Minimalism -Self Depriving?

So many people think that minimalism is all about depriving yourself of all the good things. Well, I’m here to tell you that it’s not.

Minimalism is a tool that gets you past the barriers that keep you away from the things that you truly enjoy; It is a liberating lifestyle. Minimalism gets you past self-depriving to self-fulfillment. It is through minimalism that you get to fully experience the attributes of what you really love. Minimalism makes you focus more on the things that add value to your life and at the same time removing things that needlessly steal your attention; elements that do not give you meaning.

One man’s meat is another man’s poison.

We cannot all enjoy the same things. We have different tastes and preferences. One person’s definition of minimalism is different from another person’s definition of minimalism. The similarity is that we all look forward to a more free and liberating life. Where we aren’t bound to do things because they are the societal norms, or because the consensus dictates it is preferable.
